IVC stands out by combining critical services with meaningful human connection. Our volunteers offer more than just rides or home upgrades; they provide support, companionship, and peace of mind.
Volunteers wait with clients during appointments, offering assistance tailored to individual needs like mobility challenges or impaired vision. For many, IVC is the only viable option for maintaining their independence.
92% of our clients are over 60, with 65% aged 70+.
Most live alone, with 74% being women and 49% of them over 70.
Our programs help clients remain in their homes longer, delaying the need for costly institutional care.
Beyond transportation and safety, we reduce social isolation, alleviating loneliness, anxiety, and its associated health risks.
Health disparities like limited transportation are major barriers to accessing timely care. By addressing these challenges, IVC helps improve health equity for the most vulnerable populations. Social connections built through our services combat isolation, contributing to better overall wellness and delaying the need for long-term care facilities.
IVC is a cost-effective, community-driven lifeline that fosters independence and improves lives, one ride and one modification at a time.
IVC is a 501(c)3 non-profit, located in Twin Falls, Idaho since 1997. IVC provides volunteer transportation and home safety modification help for elderly, disabled & chronically-ill individuals living within the Magic Valley Area.
The transportation program ensures low-income elderly, non-wheelchair disabled, and chronically ill individuals can reach vital medical appointments like cancer treatments, dialysis, and specialist consultations.
IVC is powered by a passionate team of volunteers who undergo rigorous background checks, training, and are fully insured. Drivers use their own vehicles to provide personalized transportation services, while other volunteers handle home safety improvements.
