IVC continues to provide a safety net to break down barriers to “Access to Healthcare” and other essential services because of our dedicated volunteers who believe in IVC’s mission, and vision to help those most at risk – the elderly, disabled, and chronically ill.
Our community is stronger and healthier because of IVC’s volunteering commitment to serving this underserved demographic. “The Gift of Home” is so imperative to IVC’s clients. Volunteering allows our clients to remain safe and self-reliant in the comfort of their homes for as long as possible.
How to Become a Volunteer

IVC volunteers provide the following FREE services to clients who lack the financial/transportation/family resources:
Volunteer Transportation to health-related appointments and essential errands
Home Safety Modifications including Wheelchair ramps and grab bar/handrail installation.
Who Can Become a Volunteer?
IVC uses a “workforce” of dedicated volunteers. All IVC’s volunteers are criminally background checked, trained and insured. The volunteer “workforce” uses their own vehicles to transport clients while other volunteers provide minor home safety modifications.
Volunteers receive numerous benefits including a monthly mileage reimbursement check, excess liability, and auto insurance coverage, continued training, a flexible time commitment, and a 48-hour notice of scheduled services. Apply below to start your IVC volunteering adventure!
